Let's give it up to the TRB boys for kicking to butt today in qualifying!
AJ is 2nd and Brian's holding on to 5th! I'm pretty sure that AJ is locked into the race now because he's the fastest of the GoGH, but there's still some guys left. (and woo! for Jon Wood being the second fastest GoGH!) Either way, I have a feeling this is going to be a great weekend for TRB!

Yes, I was totally excited to see Brian starting 8th and AJ in 4th!!! So far, so good in the race. Well with the exception of Brian spinning leaving pitroad, but at least he didn't do any damage and has recovered nicely!

I'M SO NERVOUS! This is so hard to watch! I'm really afraid that someone is going to do something stupid!
And it doesn't help that I keep procrastinating on my critical paper.
AHHHH! Is it over yet? haha.

Ahhhhhhh!!!! I was at a craft show helping my grandma and grandpa again. I havent seen a Talladega race the past 2 1/2 years because their craft shows are always on Dega weekends. lol I had my radio though. Listened to the whole thing. Was pretty nervous a couple times.
That last lap caution scared me. On the radio they said someting about it and said something about Brian. I thought for sure they were saying Brian spun. I got so scared. I got to the car just in time for Brian's interview. FINISHED 5TH!!!!! 16th in driver points. I cant find any updated owner points yet.
I'm just so excited. The first thing I did when I got home was run to Talla and tell her. She got so excited and started squeakin. LOL We wanted BV to get a win because Talladega is Talla's track. lol

It was intense, first race I've watched in a while and I was excited.
The last lap wreck ticked me off though.
Talladega has become this place of waiting for the very last second to move, but because they did that, they finished single file (save the cars wrecking). It was lame, if they hadnt wrecked im sure BV wouldve finished higher, but the drivers really shouldnt wait as long as they do to make thier moves.

Agreed. They all wait until the last possible second and then get to aggressive and make stupid moves. And it makes the last few laps pretty nauseating.
But Brian did really well all day. He climbed back up after his pit road spin and was in and out of the top 10 all day. And he got a lot of coverage on TV. Granted, not as much as I would have liked, but Fox didn't exactly do an amazing job covering the race in the first place.
I feel bad for AJ though. He did an amazing job qualifying, only to get caught up in the last lap wreck. But I loved the paint scheme for his car! It looks awesome and it's also like, 50 million times easier to tell the 83 and 84 apart. Does anyone know if that paint scheme is a permanent change or not?
All in all, a good weekend for TRB! Let's keep this momentum rolling!

I'm pretty sure AJ's new paint is permanent. I cant wait to actually see it out on the track next week!
